- Weller Pottery was founded by Samuel Augustus Weller and began with simple stoneware jars and flower pots in the late 1800's. He began making "art pottery" in the Arts & Crafts era of the 1920's. He is renowned for the Coppertone grouping, and this shape, the flared floor vase, is quite unique.
